Why will the Cleanse run for the whole month of February?
We want you to experience a month of healthy eating, learning about beauty nutrition and getting your self organised so you can prepare beauty-full dishes effortlessly + restore your wellbeing with homemade organic lotions and potions and balms. We don't expect you in one day to have revamped your pantry, increased your cooking skills, thrown out your makeup & moisturiser, climbed a mountain....and changed your habits! (+ I can't create that much content!)
For 7 days we will go a little 'cold turkey' to boost your body's natural detox process of elimination thru your intestines, liver, kidneys, lymph and skin but after that we are all about eating & applying beautiful nourishing foods to your body every day...not to mention incorporating some soulfood into your daily (we hope) regime.
But what is a cleanse?
Your body has a natural, ongoing process of neutralising or eliminating toxins from your body. Toxins are anything that can potentially harm body tissue, including waste products that result from normal cell activity, such as ammonia, lactic acid and homocysteine, and human-made toxins that we are exposed to in our environment, food, and products we apply. The liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs, skin, blood and lymphatic systems work together to ensure that toxins are transformed chemically to less harmful compounds and excreted from the body.
How does a cleanse work?
There are many ways to cleanse your body, it could just be cutting alcohol & caffeine from your diet or it could be something as serious as drinking vegetable juice only. There are products (elimination powders), supplements or have colonic hydrotherapy!
More info
I don't talk detox, I simply believe in eating well and using low tox skin creams and makeup 345+ days a year (that is not a typo!). So I use the term Cleanse to package my message and talk 'beautifood' to Nourish your body inside and out!
How will I feel during my cleanse?
You probably roller coaster from high to low during the day for the first few days as your body get use to a cleaner, more wholesome diet & beauty regime and eliminates the waste and nasties. But after that you will be feeling fabulous and on the way to more energy, clearer skin & white sparkly eyes. You will loose that bloated feeling, feel calmer, more optimistic & focused.
