mmmmmmm!
This will keep you motivated during our
CLEANSE. NOURISH. FLOURISH month!
It's a quote kept short and sweet by Michael Pollan* (journalist & food activist), and is straight to the point:
'Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants,'
It's a fabulous foundation to build your lifestyle around & it encompasses my simple life long food philosophy....
Don't get hung up on diets (raw food, sugar free, no fructose) etc, rather
1. Eat
CLEAN (unprocessed/organic where possible) foods & make at least
4/5 of your plate from
PLANTS. (F&V, grains, seeds, nuts etc)
2. Learn to
SWAP with more nourishing, nutrient dense equivalents (ie. swap refined wheat flour with spelt/buckwheat/coconut etc, white sugar with panela/rapadura sugar, or Canola (rape seed) oil with olive, nut or coconut oil)
3. Have lots of
VARIETY.
4. In
MODERATION!
Have a beauty-full week!
