The Biennale of Sydney 2014 illuminates some food for thought for today's monday motivation.
Artist Nathan Coley is one of the contemporary artists in the 19th exhibition on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour .
'You create what you will'
It is so true. We all know the saying but isn't it hard sometimes to accept it when we get stuck in the rut of comparing ourselves with others in this very transparent, connected online world. And ironically this image comes Instagram!
That is why it is so important to follow your heart and do what you love because constant comparison evaporates so you are free to create and do what is right for you.
Inspiration like this is one of the most powerful motivators and this exhibition is certainly a catalyst for that.
You must jump on a ferry one weekend (on til the June) and take a look at the (free) work by over 40 artist as you meander over this old ship building facility and former convict 'gaol'. Or, book a tent and go glamping!
We packed a picnic (tho there are lots places to buy and and chill out) and grabbed extra beverages so we could laze on the green grass under a tree as the kids ran round.
