What does skin do?

The main functions of the skin are to:
  • Detox your body
  • Produce oil
  • Protect you from external hostilities such as the sun, wind etc.
  • Regulate body temperature
  • Physically perceive the world around you i.e. heat, cold
The skin you’re in is influenced by many factors such as:
  • DNA
  • Exposure to environmental elements such as the sun, pollution and wind etc.
  • Skincare routine
  • Diet
  • Lifestyle habits such as drinking alcohol, smoking and caffeinated drinks
  • Sleep and exercise patterns
  • Hormones

What ages your skin?

Premature skin ageing is caused by inflammation (arising for boy’s immune system response) & free radicals – unstable and chemically incomplete atoms that tend to steal electrons from other molecules in order to stabilise, they are produced in great abundance through via:
  • UV rays
  • Stress
  • Smoking
  • Pollution
  • Poor diet
Reduce free radicals & inflammation by:
  • Avoiding highly processed foods, saturated fats, sugar, fried foods.
  • Avoiding excessive sunlight, fatigue and toxins
  • Protect your skin and body with antioxidants found in fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds, nuts and grains rather than supplements
  • Exercising boosts blood circulation to the skin, increases cell renewal and eliminates toxins
