And in his complete essays Francis Bacon - philosopher and scientific method pioneer goes on to say "Beauty is as summer fruits, which are easy to corrupt, and cannot last; " Not so sure I like those few words! Food for thought as many summer fruit harvests finish and school resumes tomorrow with my second ones beginning kindy. The quote also sums up what my last 7 years have been like being a 'stay-at-home-mum', a somewhat different role to my previous one of being an entrepreneur building a boutique biscuit business selling to majors retailers here and in the UK - as no picture or words can express how I feel that we ( hubby and I) have been able to spend time with our children during these formative years. (& yes, there is a flip side to this joy...one of impatience!) In 2014, with more time on my hands, I look forward getting to know you properly - to hear your stories, discover your needs, to share my knowledge on food, living a more nourished life and my definition of beauty.
