Jaffa Overnight Oatmeal Recipe from Panaceas Pantry

When the gorgeous Jade & Kath from Panaceas Pantry shared this decidedly delicious snap of their Jaffa Overnight Oatmeal bowl with my yummo Chai Shimmer Lip Nourish Lipstick (sold out at the moment, but will be back in!), I was over the moon! What better way to highlight the nourishing + delicious benefits of the lipstick itself, than with an equally tasty treat for the tastebuds. The caption also happened to make my smile stretch from ear to ear:

Just another shot of out jaffa oats, cos it was delicious. Plus, thanks to the team at Luk Beautifood for keeping our lips soft and tasty! I am not one for using many ‘beauty’ products, but these guys offer basically edible products, made from plants (note: some products have beeswax), and are completely free from terrible ingredients like carnitine and chemicals.They are gluten free, use fruit to pigment their products and the packaging is ultra divine. I dig it!”

Naturally, I had to hunt down the recipe for this bowl of goodness, and the lovely ladies have been kind enough to share it exclusively with you all.

YOU’LL NEED

– 3/4 cup oats (or more, or less… whatever amount you want!)
– 3/4 cup of your favourite nut milk
– 1/4 cup full fat (preferably organic) coconut milk
– 1 tsp orange zest
**If you are a sweet tooth perhaps add a little maple syrup or coconut sugar**
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine in a bowl, mixing well, and leave to soak overnight, so it’s all ready to go in the morning.
2. Transfer to a saucepan, add a little more nut milk and gently heat, then transfer back to a bowl.
OPTIONAL: To turn basic oatmeal into Jaffa goodness, add;
– 1-2 Tbsp Loving Earth chocolate coconut butter (this will melt, then you can stir it through to make it all delicious and chocolatey- alternatively, use raw cacao powder)
– Juice of 1 orange, plus extra zest if you love orange like we do
3. Finally, add your favourite toppings. We used quinoa puffs, Simply raw coconut rough bars and home-dried plums.

Enjoy!
