What is it? Cold pressed avocado oil with a hint of oil extracted from lime rind. Made in NZ by Avocado Oil New Zealand Ltd under the brand Grove.
Why is it good? It’s the ‘perfect’ dressing oil to add to your ‘salad repertoire: tastes gourmet delicious with little effort or cost. It’s just like an avocado oil + freshly grated lime zest mixed together. Dark green, rich, smooth and oozing with skin beautifying goodies. See avocado post & beautifood bite for details on why avocados are skin loving.
How to use? I love it drizzled over green salad leaves (with a squeeze of citrus juice or a mild vinegar), added to a dressing for asian style noodle salads or ‘fancy pants’ plate decorating a piece of fish. The makers say to cook with it but …I think the delicate flavour would be wasted.
Where to buy? I found mine in Woolworths for <$10.00 in the oil section. See www.avocado-oil.co.nz
NB – this review is independent, I just found and love using this product and thought you would too!
